Travelers interested in immersive experiences will find a variety of events on Amelia Island in 2026. The Northeast Florida barrier island is set to host several annual gatherings that reflect its local culture, including music, automotive history, food, and holiday traditions.

The Amelia Island Chamber Music Festival will mark its 25th anniversary with performances scheduled from January through June. The season will feature Emmylou Harris and a range of artists spanning classical and crossover genres. The festival also offers educational programs and takes place in smaller venues, giving attendees close access to performers.

Automotive enthusiasts are expected to attend the Amelia Island Concours Week from March 5-8. The event includes the Amelia Concours d’Elegance, which will honor racing driver Dario Franchitti MBE in 2026. Activities include auctions, seminars, community events, and curated car displays.

The Isle of Eight Flags Shrimp Festival is planned for May 1-3. Now in its 61st year, the festival highlights the island’s maritime heritage with local shrimp dishes, a parade, fireworks, artisan vendors, and entertainment throughout Fernandina Beach’s historic district.

From September 1-30, Amelia Island Dining Month will showcase local restaurants with prix-fixe menus and chef-led experiences. Each year features a new charitable partner so diners can support community causes while enjoying special meals.

In December, Dickens on Centre transforms downtown Fernandina Beach into a Victorian Christmas village inspired by “A Christmas Carol.” The event runs December 10-13 and includes street performances, markets, film screenings, children’s activities, themed races and parades.

Amelia Island is known for its beaches and wildlife as well as resorts with spas and golf courses. Fernandina Beach serves as the main town on the island with shops and restaurants reflecting its Victorian-era roots.
