The Sunny, a reimagined version of the former Newport Beachside Resort, is scheduled to open in October in Sunny Isles Beach. The property has undergone a complete transformation by its third-generation family owners. The redesign includes 340 rooms and six new dining and cocktail venues.

The resort features an in-lobby art program, a mezcal tasting lounge located under the stairs, fire pits, and live music by the beach. Chef Ray Garcia will introduce ¡VIVA!, marking its East Coast debut with modern Mexican-American cuisine overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.

Located near the Newport Pier, one of Miami’s last public fishing piers, The Sunny aims to provide guests with unique experiences focused on discovery and cultural engagement. According to statements from the hotel, “It’s not just a place to stay, it’s a place to stumble onto something special.”
