South Seas Resort on Captiva Island will host a series of events for Labor Day weekend, offering activities for families and guests with resort amenity access. The schedule includes beach games, live music, special dining options, and sunset celebrations.
The festivities begin Friday, August 29 at 8:30 p.m. with a movie night on the Bayview Lawn. Activities continue through Saturday and Sunday with offerings such as family aqua yoga sessions at the Bayview Pool Complex, T-shirt tie dye and face painting on the Bayview Lawn, BINGO!, hydro battles, water balloon tosses, silent disco, glow golf at The Clutch, and karaoke.
On Saturday morning at 7:30 a.m., the Sanibel-Captiva Sunrise Sale takes place at The Shops at South Seas. A Beach BBQ and Sunset Shell-A-Bration is scheduled for Saturday evening on Sunset Beach. Sunday’s program includes Build a Beach Buddy workshops and Sip & Shop events open to the public.
Most events are limited to registered guests of South Seas Resort, Club Captiva members, or owners with amenity access; exceptions include the Sunrise Sale and Sip & Shop which are open to all visitors. Paid activities include T-shirt Tie Dye, Build a Beach Buddy workshops, Luau BBQs, and food trucks. All other listed activities are included with resort amenity access. Participation requires a wristband; all events depend on weather conditions and may change.
Dining options available throughout the weekend include Provisions; Starbucks; Spirits; Harborside; Shell City Burgers; Scoops & Slices; Redfish Grill; and Tarpon Bar. Operating hours can be found at https://www.southseas.com/events/labor-day-weekend-2025/.
Golfers using The Clutch from August 30–31 can receive half-price specialty drinks along with a “Buy One Round, Play a Second Round Free” offer by booking tee times via the South Seas app.
