A major technology company, ServiceNow, is set to establish an innovation hub at 10 CityPlace, an office tower currently under construction in downtown West Palm Beach. The building is being developed by Related Ross, a firm led by billionaire Steve Ross.

ServiceNow is a Fortune 500 company based in Santa Clara, California. It provides cloud computing services that help businesses organize and automate tasks using artificial intelligence. Bill McDermott serves as the company’s CEO.

To support its expansion in West Palm Beach, ServiceNow has secured approvals for at least $17 million in grants from state and city sources. This includes $13 million from the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity, an additional $2 million in state grants, and $2 million from the city. The city grant requires ServiceNow to hire 856 employees over six years; if fewer than 400 jobs are created, the funds can be reclaimed.

An official announcement about ServiceNow’s move has not yet been made by Related Ross, ServiceNow, or local officials. However, Bloomberg reported earlier this year that ServiceNow stated it was “considering West Palm to support our global growth and future workforce expansion.” The company has also posted job openings for positions in the area.

Steve Ross shifted his focus last year from New York-based Related Companies to form Related Ross, which concentrates on South Florida projects. Related Ross is now the largest single landlord in downtown West Palm Beach with eight office buildings either acquired or planned. The company began construction of two towers—25-story 10 CityPlace and 26-story 15 CityPlace—in March as part of the mixed-use CityPlace complex. Completion of these towers is expected by 2027.

In other leasing news within Palm Beach County, C.R. Chicks—a locally founded rotisserie chicken restaurant—is expanding its presence with a new lease for 1,800 square feet at The Fountains of Boynton Shopping Plaza on Boynton Beach Boulevard. Chris Haass and Scott Witkowski from Cohen Commercial Realty represented C.R. Chicks in this transaction while Mike Featherston of TSCG acted for the landlord.

C.R. Chicks was co-founded by Rick Davis and Chris Sallen in 1992 and now operates eight locations across Palm Beach County following this latest lease agreement. Additionally, C.R. Chicks will open another location with a lease for 2,200 square feet at Wedgewood Commons plaza in Stuart.
