Registration remains open for the annual Partners Pink Run, scheduled for October 11 at Bell Tower in Fort Myers. The event is organized by Partners for Breast Cancer Care (PFBCC), a nonprofit focused on providing breast screening, diagnostic testing, and treatment to underserved individuals in Collier, Lee, Charlotte, Hendry, and Glades counties.
Worthington Realty is presenting this year’s run. Proceeds will support PFBCC’s efforts to fund breast health services for those who lack access due to financial barriers. Participants can select either a 5K run or a one-mile walk through the shops and restaurants of Bell Tower. After the race, there will be entertainment, music, refreshments, and activities suitable for all ages. Organizers encourage attendees to wear pink in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The 5K run begins at 8 a.m., followed by the one-mile walk at 8:10 a.m. Awards will be given to the top three overall male and female finishers as well as the top three participants in each age group ranging from under 10 years old to over 70. Registration information is available at RunSignUp.com/Race/FL/FortMyers/PartnersPinkRun.
Over the last decade, PFBCC has assisted more than 4,640 people with free breast care services and funded over 7,400 procedures at a cost exceeding $1.1 million. The organization does not receive government funding; instead, it relies on community contributions.
Supporters may also purchase personalized $20 Pink Ribbon Yard Signs to honor those affected by breast cancer; these signs will be displayed along the course during the event. Details about purchasing yard signs are provided online.
This year’s sponsors include Worthington Realty; ServPro of North Naples; Redline Athletics Fort Myers; Brooks; Next Plumbing & Air; Apex Physical Therapy; Premiere Plus Realty Company; Lee Health; Fleet Feet Fort Myers; Bell Tower Fort Myers; Absolute Gains Personal Training; Redline Demolition Services Inc.; Precision Healthcare Specialists; GenesisCare; All “U” Need Pest Control; and Grande Aire Services LLC.
