Firms in South Florida’s real estate sector have announced new hires as the region approaches its busy season.

Okan Group, a Turkish developer, has selected Michael Sadov of Fortune Development Sales to lead sales for the planned Okan Tower in downtown Miami. The project at 555 North Miami Avenue is designed to rise 70 stories and will feature a Hilton hotel with 316 keys, 236 condo-hotel units, 163 condos, 80,000 square feet of amenities, and 60,000 square feet of office space.

Sadov began working with Fortune Development Sales in June. His background includes sales director positions at Cervera Real Estate and Compass. He has also contributed to sales efforts for projects such as Paramount Miami Worldcenter, Canyon Ranch Living Miami Beach, Aventura ParkSquare, and One Bal Harbour.

Okan Group initially launched sales for the tower in 2020 but paused during the pandemic before relaunching in 2021.

In legal news, Weiss Law of Miami has added real estate tax attorney Ben Miller as Of Counsel. Miller previously served as counsel at Meltzer, Lippe, Goldstein & Breitstone for one year and held roles at DarrowEverett and Greenspoon Marder.

Weiss Law was established last year by Adam J. Weiss and Sebastian Bohorquez after their time with Solomon Cooperman Recondo & Weiss in Miami. The firm specializes in acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, financing, litigation and zoning matters.

Additionally, Claudia Cornejo—founder of Claudia & Associates Real Estate Group in Virginia—is joining Coldwell Banker Realty’s Miami office. Cornejo started her team in 2004 and has sold over 1,000 homes during her career. She plans to divide her time between Miami and Washington D.C.
