Miami Freedom Park has secured its first three retail tenants, totaling over 125,000 square feet. Fever, a live entertainment platform, has preleased 30,000 square feet. PopStroke, a miniature golf venue backed by Tiger Woods, will occupy 75,000 square feet. ToroVerde, an urban and eco-tourism firm, will take 24,000 square feet for an adventure park.
The development is led by Jorge and Jose Mas in partnership with David Beckham and Ares Management. Miami Freedom Park will feature a 25,000-seat stadium for Major League Soccer’s Inter Miami CF team and one million square feet of mixed-use space on the former Melreese Golf Course at 1400 Northwest 37th Avenue. The developers hold a 99-year lease for the city-owned property.
According to the release, “The complex will include offices, retail, entertainment, restaurants, 750 hotel keys in three buildings and a 58-acre public park, called Jorge Mas Canosa Park, and athletic fields.” Construction began in 2023 with phased completion starting next year. Initial openings will include the stadium, park areas, community spaces as well as some restaurants and entertainment venues.
Retail leasing is being managed by InHouse Commercial along with Newmark and Magellan Realty Group.
In Fort Lauderdale’s Flagler Village neighborhood at The Manor multifamily building owned by Cardone Capital, two new retail leases have been signed. Craft Miami restaurant leased 4,500 square feet while Pilates studio RP Heat leased 2,600 square feet. Jaime Sturgis and Kaley Tuning of Native Realty represented the landlord; Aaron Levy of South Florida Commercial Corporation represented Craft Miami; Liz Metott of Native Realty represented RP Heat.
Cardone Capital acquired The Manor last year as part of approximately $500 million spent on Broward County multifamily properties during that period. Other acquisitions included Laurels at Jacaranda in Plantation and Edge at Flagler Village.
Plum Market has leased a new store location in Palm Beach Gardens at Prosperity Centre plaza (2410 PGA Boulevard), taking up 30,000 square feet as anchor tenant with plans to open in March. Regency Centers owns the shopping center. Plum Market opened its first Florida location in Aventura recently and intends further expansion at Palm Beach International Airport.
At Miami Tower (100 Southeast Second Street), CP Group and DRA Advisors have completed five leases: Princeton Longevity Center and LifeSpan Medicine leased all of the tower’s 42nd floor (14,700 sq ft); law firms Boies Schiller Flexner (18,300 sq ft) and Boyd Richards Parker Colonnelli (12,400 sq ft) renewed their leases; UBS Financial Services expanded to nearly 40,000 sq ft; Worldwide Express grew its space to 3,800 sq ft. CBRE’s Gordon Messinger and Randy Carballo represented landlords; JLL’s Blake Goodman and Lucia Hedke represented medical tenants; Network Realty Advisors’ Josh Hartman along with Cresa’s Zach Talbot handled Boies Schiller representation; Talbot also worked with Alex Gerome for Boyd Richards; Tony Jones from Cushman & Wakefield assisted UBS Financial; Allie McCracken from Transwestern represented Worldwide Express.
CP Group bought Miami Tower for $162.5 million in 2022 alongside DRA Advisors. The building was designed by I.M. Pei.
Precise Property landed ACE Hardware as a tenant for Hallandale Shopping Center (12K sq ft). Cohen Commercial’s Bryan Cohen and Chris McCarthy acted on behalf of Precise Property—a developer operating both in the U.S. and Canada with main offices in Jupiter (Florida) and Westmount (Quebec).
Luxury goods entrepreneur Christopher R. King opened his flagship boutique at Worth Avenue in Palm Beach—offering leather goods made near Florence—and occupies a space managed by TRH Management.
