Marc Ashley, president of Market America Worldwide and Shop.com, has purchased a condominium at the Bath Club Residences in Miami Beach for $14.3 million. The 6,300-square-foot unit, located at 5959 Collins Avenue, was sold by Scott and Laura Gilbert. The Gilberts acquired the property in 2011 for $5.7 million.
The condo was most recently listed for nearly $16 million. Jordan Karp represented Marc and Maria Ashley in the transaction and is also handling the sale of their previous residence in Edgewater. Last month, the Ashleys put their full-floor condo at Elysee Miami on the market for $5.5 million.
The Bath Club unit features four bedrooms and was listed with Bespoke Real Estate. The Peebles Corporation redeveloped the Bath Club Residences between 2005 and 2006, creating 107 condominium units and six oceanfront villas while restoring the original beach club built in 1926.
The Ashleys’ Edgewater condo includes four bedrooms and five-and-a-half bathrooms across 3,300 square feet. It is currently listed for $1,700 per square foot after being purchased by the couple in 2021 for $2.7 million during its construction phase by Two Roads Development.
Elysee Miami’s interiors were designed by Jean-Louis Deniot, whose work also includes projects like Waldorf Astoria Residences in New York. The Ashleys’ former unit offers a private elevator, ceilings reaching ten feet high, and two terraces with views of Biscayne Bay and Miami Beach.
Market America was established in 1992 as an e-commerce and product brokerage platform. Its founder James Ridinger bought a penthouse at One Thousand Museum condo tower in Miami in 2021 before his death at age 63 the following year.
