Dozens of workers from Lufthansa Technik Puerto Rico, along with their supporters, held rallies at Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport and at the company’s facility in Aguadilla. The demonstrations aimed to call attention to what participants described as union-busting tactics by the company.

The workers and their allies urged Lufthansa Technik Puerto Rico to stop actions they say are meant to divide employees and undermine union activities. They also called for the company to respect the professionals responsible for maintaining aircraft safety.

The rallies were organized in response to ongoing concerns about labor practices at the facility, according to those involved. Participants stated that their goal is to ensure fair treatment and recognition for the workforce that keeps planes operating safely.

“Stop the union-busting tactics, end the efforts to divide workers, and respect the professionals who keep aircraft flying safely every day,” was the message delivered by those at the rallies.

The demonstrations reflect broader labor tensions in the aviation maintenance sector, where unions have raised concerns about workplace conditions and employer practices.
