The Lee County Visitor & Convention Bureau announced on March 30 a list of events and activities taking place in Fort Myers and surrounding neighborhoods for the week of March 30 through April 5.
The weekly update provides residents and visitors with information about ongoing tours, performing arts, exhibits, concerts, and podcasts available in the area. The bureau said that more events can be found at visitfortmyers.com.
Ongoing activities include Adventures in Paradise Cruises and Tours each evening at Port Comfort Road in Fort Myers, Butterfly House tours at Rotary Park in Cape Coral on select days, Everglades Day Safari departing from Fort Myers and Estero daily, Tarpon Bay Explorers kayak tours on Wednesdays at Sanibel Island, as well as several history tours offered by True Tours in downtown Fort Myers. Additional details such as costs, times, locations, phone numbers, and websites are provided for each event.
For those interested in performing arts or exhibits, venues such as Alliance for the Arts on McGregor Boulevard; Players Circle Theater; Arts Bonita’s two locations; Bayside Park Concert Series at Fort Myers Beach; Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre; Florida Repertory Theatre; and Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center offer various programs throughout the week. Information about each venue is included to help attendees plan their visits.
Podcasts are also highlighted this week. The Shellcast podcast from Lee County VCB offers stories about Southwest Florida’s attractions while The Sanibel Captiva Guide Podcast features interviews with local residents discussing island life.
