Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex will launch its annual “Holidays in Space” celebration this December, offering a series of special events that combine holiday festivities with space exploration experiences. The complex, which Tripadvisor recently ranked as the top attraction in the United States for 2025, aims to attract visitors with new after-hours programming and themed activities.

A key feature this year is the debut of “Kennedy Under the Stars: Holiday Edition,” an evening event scheduled for December 19 and 20 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tickets are priced at $65 per person. The event includes access to attractions such as Heroes & Legends, Gateway: The Deep Space Launch Complex, Journey To Mars, Space Shuttle Atlantis, and Planet Play. Festive lights and music will be featured throughout the site, including a dance party in the Rocket Garden and a custom drone show.

Live entertainment is planned with performances by The Vocalitas singing holiday classics. Additional features include costumed characters on stilts, a Penny Farthing-riding elf, a Rocket Tree Trail scavenger hunt, and photo opportunities with a Mars Rover decorated as Rudolph. Attendees are encouraged to wear creative space-themed holiday outfits but masks or face coverings are not permitted. Parking is complimentary with admission.

The broader “Holidays in Space” program continues from December 21 through December 30 (excluding December 25). A highlight will be the new Holidays in Space Drone Show Spectacular—a performance using 600 drones to tell the story of Starflake, a character inspired by NASA’s programs including Apollo, Shuttle, and Artemis missions. Premium viewing options for these shows will be available for purchase on select nights via KennedySpaceCenter.com.

Other seasonal offerings include an upcoming live character show at Universe Theater and an interactive family breakfast experience during the holidays.

To help guests manage mealtimes during busy periods, Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex offers a Holiday Dining Package available for presale only from December 15–19 and December 22–January 2. For $39.99 per person plus admission, it includes one meal at select cafes or barbecue venues onsite, along with snacks and a refillable souvenir cup.

Tickets for Kennedy Under the Stars: Holiday Edition became available starting November 4 at www.KennedySpaceCenter.com.

Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is located about 45 minutes from Orlando and opens daily at 9 a.m., with closing times varying seasonally. Ticket options include single-day admission ($77 per adult; $67 per child) and two-day tickets ($91 per adult; $81 per child), which can be used within six months of purchase.
