The Island Hopper Songwriter Fest begins its 11th annual event this weekend, starting on Captiva Island from September 19 to 21. The festival continues in Cape Coral on September 22 and 23, moves to downtown Fort Myers on September 24 and 25, and concludes at Fort Myers Beach from September 26 to 28.
More than 60 singer-songwriters affiliated with BMI will participate, offering over 80 performances. The shows are set in smaller venues designed for close interaction between the audience and the artists.
According to organizers, most of the festival’s events are free, but tickets remain available for select experiences.
The Island Hopper Songwriter Fest has been recognized as one of the Top 5 music festivals by USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards. It is described as the largest songwriter festival in Southwest Florida and provides a setting that allows attendees to hear music in a tropical environment with fewer crowds. Details about performers, lodging options, and ticketing can be found at IslandHopperFest.com or through the Island Hopper app.
