The 2025 IAM International President’s Classic golf tournament was held at Fox Ridge Golf Club in Auburn, Maine, drawing participants from across North America. The event raised over $150,000 for the Maine Museum of Innovation, Learning and Labor (Maine MILL), which is focused on preserving the stories of workers, immigrants, and communities connected to Maine’s mill history.

“This event is about honoring the history of working people and giving back to the communities that raised us,” said IAM International President Brian Bryant. “Supporting Maine MILL means preserving the stories of the working class. As someone who grew up in Maine, this cause is close to my heart, and I couldn’t be prouder of what we accomplished together.”

Teams participated in golf matches, while attendees also took part in raffles and listened to remarks from both IAM Union and Maine MILL leadership. The tournament saw broad participation from members of the labor movement.

“This incredible show of support from International President Bryant and the IAM Union will help us continue preserving and celebrating the legacy of Maine’s workers,” said Rachel Ferrante, Executive Director of the Maine MILL. “We’re so grateful to everyone who participated and donated. Your generosity is making history.”

Funds raised by the event are allocated for rehabilitating the former Camden Yarns Mill and expanding it to serve as Maine MILL’s permanent home. Construction has started on this project, with an opening planned for summer 2026. The new facility will include spaces for permanent and temporary exhibits, a classroom, children’s area, and a design lab. Organizers hope it will become a cultural center promoting learning and community engagement.

Over 50 sponsors supported the event. Gold sponsors included several IAM offices such as the International President’s Office, Eastern Territory, District 4, Local S6; Jones Granger Law Firm; and Employee Benefit Systems Inc. Silver sponsors featured other IAM territories and locals along with companies like National Group Protection, American Income Life, Met Life Investment Management, and The Kelly Companies.
