Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa in Bonita Springs, near Naples, will begin a renovation of its meeting and event spaces starting mid-July. The project, which is expected to finish by early fall, aims to upgrade the resort’s event facilities by incorporating design elements inspired by the coastal surroundings.
“We are incredibly excited to introduce these reimagined spaces later this year, designed to inspire and connect,” said Rhett Wilson, Director of Sales and Marketing at Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa. “By capturing the essence of our serene natural setting, this project will enhance both the functionality and aesthetic appeal of the spaces with nods to our surrounding environment, offering an ideal backdrop to drive meaningful meetings and elegant event experiences.”
The renovation will use colors that reflect the local landscape such as ocean blues, greens, and sandy beige. Updates include new carpeting, wall coverings, artwork representing the gulf-side location, and lighting changes like a chandelier in the Estero Ballroom designed to resemble a conch shell. Other lighting installations will feature opalescent glasswork and silver accents.
Improvements will also be made to outdoor areas including the Calusa Ballroom Terrace with new pavers, upgraded lighting, integrated turf, and redesigned landscaping. The registration desk area will get a digital signage display framed by custom woodwork. Meeting space restrooms will be updated with new color schemes and modern fixtures.
This project follows recent updates at the resort: guestrooms were renovated in 2022; Tarpon Bay restaurant was redesigned and water park features enhanced in 2023; Tanglewood – A Southern Kitchen reopened with a new look and menu focused on Southern cuisine in 2024.
The property offers 82,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space. Outdoor venues include Belvedere Terrace with fountains and waterfalls; Banyan Courtyard featuring live oak trees; Royal Palm and Cypress Courtyards with large lawns bordered by palm trees. Indoor options include Calusa Ballroom (14,000 square feet) with terrace access; Estero Ballroom (7,000 square feet); Blue Heron and Great Egret rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows; plus The Cove private dining room at Tarpon Bay.
Groups staying at the resort can visit Big Hickory Island within Estero Bay Ecological Preserve or participate in activities arranged through Global Works Events such as fishing trips or tours of Downtown Naples.
