The Heights Foundation will hold its tenth annual Swing Fore The Kids golf tournament on September 19 at The Plantation Golf and Country Club in Fort Myers. The event aims to raise funds for programs at The Heights Center, which serves families in the Harlem Heights neighborhood.

Last year’s tournament brought in over $41,000. Organizers hope to exceed that amount this year to support AfterSchool activities and summer camp programs at the center.

“The poverty rate for children in Harlem Heights is more than twice the county average,” said Kathryn Kelly, Founder and CEO of The Heights Foundation/The Heights Center. “This tournament will help support programs at The Heights Center which provide children with the tools they need to thrive.”

Sponsors for this year’s event include B&I Contractors, Quality Carpet + Flooring, Owen-Ames-Kimball, TRC Worldwide Engineering, RG Architects, Trane, Schoenfeld, Kyle & Associates, LLP, Axis Contracting Group, ONEDIGITAL, FineMark National Bank & Trust, Everhart Advisors and Acentria Insurance. Additional sponsorships are still available.

The schedule includes registration starting at 12:30 p.m., a shotgun start at 1:30 p.m., followed by a dinner buffet and awards ceremony.

A foursome costs $650. Sponsorship opportunities remain open until September 10; golfer registration closes September 12. More information is available on the organization’s website (www.heightsfoundation.org/golf) or by contacting Annie Campbell at (239) 482-7706.
