Ongoing local activities include several options for residents and visitors. Adventures in Paradise offers cruises and tours departing nightly from 14341 Port Comfort Road in Fort Myers, with tickets ranging from $39 to $49. In Cape Coral, guided Butterfly House tours take place at Rotary Park three days a week, with donations accepted as admission.
For those interested in nature experiences, Everglades Day Safari provides daily excursions departing from Fort Myers and Estero for $200 per person. Sundial Beach Resort & Spa on Sanibel Island offers day passes that include dining credits, with prices depending on the date of visit.
Outdoor enthusiasts can join kayak tours every Wednesday through Tarpon Bay Explorers on Sanibel Island, while True Tours organizes several history-themed walking tours throughout downtown Fort Myers each week.
The area also features a variety of performing arts venues and ongoing exhibits. These include the Alliance for the Arts, Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre, Florida Repertory Theatre, Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center in downtown Fort Myers, Americana Community Music Association at All Faiths Unitarian Church, Arts Bonita in Bonita Springs, and the Bayside Park Concert Series at Fort Myers Beach.
Podcasts highlighting local culture are available as well. The Lee County VCB produces Shellcast to share stories about Southwest Florida’s attractions. The Sanibel Captiva Guide Podcast features interviews with local residents about island life. Otocast is an audio guide app offering self-guided tours of more than 30 historic sites across Fort Myers.
