The City of Fort Myers is urging residents to focus on preparedness as part of National Preparedness Month. Officials recommend that families take steps now to ensure they are ready for emergencies.

“Preparedness starts at home. Now is the time to make sure your family and home are ready. Don’t wait until the last minute, stay prepared so the stress stays away,” city officials stated.

Residents are encouraged to review their emergency plans, update disaster supply kits, and download the Fort Myers Emergency Management App available for both iOS and Android devices.
