The City of Fort Myers has announced the grand reopening of Roberto Clemente Park, scheduled for Friday, December 5, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. The park has undergone extensive renovations, which include the addition of a new amphitheater and playground with inclusive features.

One highlight of the renovation is the unveiling of a 21-foot playground slide, which city officials state will be the tallest slide in Southwest Florida.

Funding for these upgrades came from two main sources: $1,375,000 was allocated from city capital improvement funds and an additional $1 million was provided through a state grant. The grant was secured with support from Representative Jenna Persons-Mulicka.

The City invites members of the public to attend and experience the transformed space at Roberto Clemente Park.
