Fort Myers announces office closures and service schedule for Veterans Day

The City of Fort Myers has announced its schedule for the Veterans Day holiday on Tuesday, November 11, 2025.

According to city officials, solid waste and recycling collection services will continue as usual for both residential and commercial customers. There will be no interruption in these services.

City Hall and the Utility Billing offices will be closed in observance of the holiday. The Solid Waste Division’s offices, however, will remain open.

Most Parks and Recreation facilities will operate according to their normal schedules, with the exception of the STARS facility, which will be closed for the day.

For any questions regarding solid waste services, residents are encouraged to contact the Solid Waste Division at (239) 321-8050.

The City of Fort Myers Solid Waste Division stated: “The City of Fort Myers Solid Waste Division extends its appreciation to all veterans for their service and wishes everyone a safe and meaningful Veterans Day!”
