The City of Fort Myers Solid Waste Division has announced changes to its waste collection schedule in observance of Christmas and New Year’s Day. The division will not operate on Thursday, December 25th, and Thursday, January 1st.

Both residential and commercial customers will have their waste collected one day later than usual following the holidays. Service will resume from Friday, December 26th through Saturday, December 27th after Christmas, and from Friday, January 2nd through Saturday, January 3rd after New Year’s Day.

Residents are encouraged to recycle their Christmas trees between December 26th and January 31st. All tree stands and decorations must be removed before disposal.
