In recent developments in South Florida’s real estate sector, several firms have announced new hires and appointments.
Fontainebleau Development has named Raj Mohan as vice president and managing director for the JW Marriott Miami Turnberry Resort & Spa in Aventura. According to a press release, Mohan previously served as managing director of Saddlebrook Resort in Tampa for Pyramid Global Hospitality. His experience includes resort operations roles at hotels in Aruba, Jamaica, China, and Canada. In his new position, Mohan will focus on guest experience and expanding business opportunities.
Linkvest Capital has added three members to its board of directors: Eddy Arriola, Nicolás Santos, and Juan David Perdomo. Miami-based Linkvest is an alternative investment firm led by principal Camilo Niño. Arriola is CEO of Arriola & Co. and was formerly the founder, chairman, and CEO of Apollo Bank, which was sold to Seacoast National Bank in 2022. Santos is a founding partner of Ikalon, a multi-family office based in Bogotá. Perdomo leads Vision Planning Group, another multi-family office in Bogotá.
Compass has expanded its presence by bringing on two teams in South Florida. Galleria International Realty from Fort Lauderdale has joined Compass with a 71-agent team that will be based at the Las Olas Boulevard office. Founded in 2009 by Patricia Anglero, this team has closed more than $2 billion in total sales.
Additionally, Compass welcomed the Andrade Group—a 29-agent team led by Jorge Andrade and Henny Barreto—which closes $50 million annually in sales. The group will operate out of Compass’ Coconut Grove and Winter Park offices and specializes in the Miami-Dade, Broward, and Orange county markets.
Serhant has recruited agent Veronica Peters to its Delray Beach office. Peters brings over $88 million in career sales experience and joins Serhant from Premier Estate Properties where she worked as a Boca Raton-based agent since 2021.
Weiss Law announced Andy Gross as Of Counsel. Gross is a real estate lawyer who comes from Gross Simon PLLC; his portfolio includes projects such as W Fort Lauderdale and Infinity at Brickell in Miami.
