Nominations are now open for the 5th Annual Bob Provitola Manufacturing Leadership Award, an initiative by FloridaMakes to recognize volunteer leaders who have contributed significantly to Florida’s manufacturing sector. The award honors the memory of Bob Provitola, who served as Division Vice President of Mitsubishi Power Americas and was the founding board chair of the FloridaMakes Network.

According to FloridaMakes, “This award was created in memory of Bob Provitola, Division Vice President of Mitsubishi Power Americas and founding board chair of the FloridaMakes Network. Bob dedicated his career to advancing education, workforce development, and economic growth in Florida, all with the goal of building a stronger manufacturing economy and creating high-wage, high-skill jobs.”

The organization states that each year they continue his legacy by “recognizing individuals who demonstrate outstanding advocacy, leadership, mentorship, and volunteerism.” Eligibility for nomination is not restricted by whether someone has served as a “loaned executive.” Nominations must be submitted through an online form and will be reviewed by a committee made up of manufacturers and stakeholders. Nominees are evaluated based on their contributions to manufacturing in Florida.

The deadline for submitting nominations is October 8, 2025. More information about the award and how to submit nominations can be found at www.FloridaMakes.com/Bob-Provitola-Award.
