Florida SouthWestern State College (FSW) is set to host a Buc Block Party on Friday, August 29, from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the FSW Suncoast Credit Union Arena in Fort Myers. The event marks the beginning of Fall classes and is open to the public.

Attendees can expect food, FSW giveaways, games, activities, and a special performance by FSW President Jeff Allbritten with the Salty Dogs band.

The Suncoast Credit Union Arena has updated its security protocols for all events. Walk-through metal detectors will be used and bag restrictions are in place. Guests are advised not to bring bags such as backpacks, purses, briefcases, duffle bags or coolers into the arena. Permitted items include clear plastic bags no larger than 12″ x 6″ x 12”, one-gallon clear plastic freezer bags like Ziploc, and small clutch bags that do not exceed 4.5” x 6.5”. Medically necessary items will be allowed after inspection.

Guests bringing non-approved bags or prohibited items will need to return them to their vehicles as there is no check-in location available at the arena. A full list of prohibited items can be found at https://www.fsw.edu/arena/plan/policies.
