The Florida Public Service Commission (FPSC) has scheduled a Special Commission Conference for November 20, 2025, to review a proposed Settlement Agreement from Florida Power & Light Company (FPL). The agreement is linked to FPL’s pending rate case petition, which was filed on February 28, 2025.

According to the FPSC, the Settlement Agreement was submitted on August 20, 2025. It represents cooperation among various stakeholders including customer groups, businesses, and advocacy organizations. The signatories are the Florida Industrial Power Users Group, Florida Retail Federation, Florida Energy for Innovation Association, Walmart Inc., EVgo Services, Americans for Affordable Clean Energy, Circle K Stores, RaceTrac, Wawa, Electrify America, Federal Executive Agencies, Armstrong World Industries, and the Southern Alliance for Clean Energy.

A two-week evidentiary hearing began on October 6, 2025. During this hearing all parties had an opportunity to present testimony and cross-examine witnesses regarding both the Settlement Agreement and FPL’s original rate request.

The Special Commission Conference will take place at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday at the Betty Easley Conference Center in Tallahassee.
