The Florida Public Service Commission (FPSC) has scheduled a virtual customer meeting for Grenelefe Resort Utility, Inc. customers on Monday, September 15 at 2:00 p.m. The session will allow residents to provide feedback regarding the utility’s recent application to raise water and wastewater rates in Polk County.

Grenelefe Resort Utility filed its rate increase request in January 2025. The FPSC states that customer comments collected during the meeting will be taken into account when making a decision on the proposal.

“Customer input will be considered when the Commission makes its decision,” according to the FPSC.

Residents interested in speaking at the meeting can register by filling out an online form accessible through the FPSC website under Hot Topics, calling 1-850-413-7080, or emailing the commission. Registration opens at 9:00 a.m. EDT on Wednesday, September 1 and closes at noon on Thursday, September 11.

Grenelefe currently serves 1,608 residential water customers and 1,357 residential wastewater customers in Polk County.

For those unable to participate directly, the event will be streamed live with access available via “Watch Live and Archived PSC Events” on the FPSC website.
