Business and policy leaders from across Florida will gather at the Florida Chamber Foundation’s 2025 Florida Transportation, Growth & Infrastructure Solution Summit. The event aims to bring together asset owners, developers, engineers, logistics firms, economic developers, and policymakers to discuss infrastructure goals aligned with the Florida 2030 Blueprint.

The summit will address several major topics facing the state, including international trade and seaport growth strategy, energy needs, broadband expansion, affordable workforce housing, transportation issues, and infrastructure for the aerospace industry.

Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Secretary Jared Perdue is scheduled to deliver a keynote presentation offering early insights into FDOT’s Florida Transportation Plan 2055. Other speakers include Beth Cooley of Amazon; Rob Long of Space Florida; Bryan Griffin of VISIT FLORIDA; Ashley Dietz of the Florida Philanthropic Network; Matt Swanson of SelectFlorida and FloridaCommerce; Captain John W. Murray of Port Canaveral; Kevin Carr of FloridaMakes; and Jessica Ottaviano from FDOT.

A new study by the Florida Chamber Foundation will be unveiled at the summit. The research details how an undercount in the 2020 Census missed about 750,000 residents in Florida. According to the Foundation’s findings, this undercount led to an estimated $11 billion loss in federal tax dollars that would have supported community reinvestments and infrastructure funding statewide.

Dr. Keith Richard, Vice President of Research for the Florida Chamber Foundation, stated: “Florida is projected to add more than 2.5 million residents by 2030, welcome 40 million annual visitors, and see roughly 2.1 million new drivers on its roadways.” He added: “These insights highlight the importance of an accurate 2030 Census count to make certain Florida’s communities receive their fair share of federal funding and have community investments that keep pace with our state’s growth. We’ll be unveiling a research study at the Summit showing how much federal funding each Florida county missed out on due to the 2020 Census undercount.”

Mark Wilson, President & CEO of the Florida Chamber of Commerce and Foundation said: “As Florida continues to grow, our infrastructure must not only keep pace but lead the way. At the Florida Chamber Foundation, we are uniting business, policy, and community leaders to position Florida competitively on a global scale while building the foundation for long-term prosperity.”
