Florida Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Mark Wilson recently contributed an op-ed to Florida Trend, addressing questions about Florida’s economic future over the next five years. Wilson discussed several elements affecting the state’s outlook, including ongoing population growth, trends in the workforce, innovation, and competitiveness.

He highlighted the significance of the Florida 2030 Blueprint, a strategic plan by the Florida Chamber aimed at positioning Florida among the top 10 global economies by 2030. Wilson stated, “As Florida continues to grow, leaders must stay focused on creating opportunities that strengthen our state’s competitiveness, talent pipeline, and quality of life.”

The op-ed comes as business, policy, and community leaders prepare to gather at the Future of Florida Forum (F3) in Orlando to further discuss strategies for securing the state’s economic future.
