Film Florida, in collaboration with WIFT-FL South Florida and Film Lauderdale, is organizing an after-hours tour, information session, and networking event at MAD Arts in Fort Lauderdale. The event aims to bring together filmmakers and creators for a private museum tour, a presentation, and an opportunity to connect.

MAD Arts serves as a museum and community hub that focuses on the intersection of art and technology. It features award-winning art installations, interactive exhibits, outdoor sculptures, experimental labs, artist prototypes, research projects, and large-scale projections. Attendees will have the chance to observe how art and technology evolve through these displays.

The program includes a guided tour of the facility followed by a brief talk from Broward County Film Commissioner and Film Florida president Sandy Lighterman. Networking opportunities will follow with drinks and light refreshments provided.

“Join us for a private tour of the museum and a brief presentation by Broward County Film Commissioner and Film Florida president Sandy Lighterman, followed by drinks, light bites, and networking.”

The event is scheduled for Tuesday, August 19, 2025 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at MAD Arts located at 481 S Federal Hwy in Dania Beach. Admission is free for WIFT members while guests can attend for $10.

All filmmakers and creators are invited to participate in this gathering.
