Jeff Polashuk, regional vice president of Compass Florida, will leave the brokerage in March after eight years with the company. He confirmed that he is joining Gideon Strategic Partners as a vice president focusing on real estate. Gideon Strategic Partners, a Los Angeles-based wealth management firm led by CEO Robert Amoruso, is expanding its operations to Miami.

Polashuk’s departure comes after the recent $4 billion merger between Compass and Anywhere Real Estate. The combined entity now operates under Compass International Holdings, with Robert Reffkin as CEO and Neda Navab as president of the brokerage. Despite the timing, Polashuk stated that the merger did not influence his decision to move on.

Polashuk said his experience at Compass would be valuable as Gideon Strategic Partners increases its investments in real estate. He also noted that he will keep his real estate license active with Compass.

Polashuk joined Compass in 2017 when there were about 60 agents in South Florida; now, the southeastern region has approximately 5,000 agents. During his tenure, he worked closely with Beth Butler, former regional director of new development for the Southeast at Compass, who retired at the end of 2024.

Reflecting on his time at Compass, Polashuk described it as “nothing short of incredible.”

Neda Navab informed agents about Polashuk’s planned exit in a company-wide email sent Wednesday. She called him a “strong and steady leader” and a trusted adviser. John Bilek, another regional vice president and head of sales management nationwide, will take over responsibilities for Florida and Georgia. Managing Directors Adam Vellano and Steven Busch will continue in their current roles.

Over the past year, Compass has added several key hires such as Miltiadis Kastanis. Kastanis contributed to securing exclusive sales and marketing for Nahla Capital’s Rosewood-branded Raleigh Miami Beach development.

After the merger between Compass and Anywhere Real Estate was finalized, Anywhere’s former CEO Ryan Schneider and CTO Rudy Wolfs left their positions. Brands previously under Anywhere—Coldwell Banker, Century 21, Sotheby’s International Realty and Corcoran Group—are now part of Compass International Holdings.
