CMON has announced changes to its operating schedule for the fall after a busy summer season that saw over 50,000 visitors between June and August. The museum will now be open Thursday through Sunday and closed Monday through Wednesday during September and October. This adjustment is intended to give staff time for deep cleaning, exhibit restoration, training, and planning.

The museum previously closed for an entire week each year for these activities but shifted to a reduced weekly schedule in recent years. According to CMON, this change has benefited both families and staff.

One of the main updates this fall includes a refreshed trolley exhibit set to open at the end of October. The museum noted that while the reduced hours may cause some inconvenience, they believe it will result in an improved experience for children visiting the facility.

“As always, our team is happy to answer questions, share what’s coming next, or just connect,” said Jon from CMON.

The museum expressed appreciation for its community of members and visitors as it prepares for upcoming improvements.
