Amelia Island has been named one of the Top 10 Islands in the United States by Condé Nast Traveler’s 2025 Readers’ Choice Awards. The Northeast Florida destination was ranked No. 9 overall, maintaining its position as the only Florida island on this year’s list. This recognition continues a trend of more than 15 years where Amelia Island has received similar honors from Condé Nast readers.

The island’s hospitality sector also received attention, with Omni Amelia Island Resort & Spa and The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island ranked among the Best Resorts in Florida at No. 4 and No. 9 respectively.

“Longevity on this list speaks volumes,” said Gil Langley, President of the Amelia Island Convention & Visitors Bureau. “In an era when travel tastes shift quickly, Amelia Island continues to inspire loyalty from discerning travelers year after year. What keeps us here isn’t hype; it’s the combination of natural beauty, a walkable historic downtown, and the genuine welcome guests feel from our community. Visitors don’t just discover Amelia; they return, often for generations.”

More than 575,000 readers participated in this year’s survey for what is considered one of the travel industry’s longest-running awards programs. The full list of winners can be found at CNTraveler.com and will also appear in the magazine’s November issue.

Amelia Island is located in Northeast Florida and is known for its beaches, wildlife, and historic downtown district centered around Fernandina Beach.
